Arcade Snake — eat and grow without crashing

How to play
Snake is the classic arcade game popularised by the Nokia 1997 handsets. You steer a constantly-moving snake on a 20×20 grid, eating apples to grow longer. The game ends the instant the snake's head hits a wall or any part of its own body. Wuti Zone ships a touch-and-keyboard playable Snake with three difficulty tiers — easy, normal, hard — that change the tick speed, plus a per-difficulty best score so you can chase your own ceiling.
Rules
- The snake moves at a constant tick rate; you steer with arrow keys, WASD, or swipe.
- Eating an apple grows the snake by one segment and adds one to your score.
- Crashing into a wall ends the game immediately.
- Crashing into the snake's own body ends the game immediately.
- You cannot reverse 180° into your own neck — opposite-direction inputs are ignored.
- Difficulty changes only the tick speed: easy 180 ms, normal 150 ms, hard 90 ms.
- Filling every cell on the grid wins the game — rare, but theoretically possible.
Strategy tips
- Use the walls as a guide rail — hugging the perimeter buys time when the snake is short.
- Coil tightly: route the body into a back-and-forth lawn-mower pattern so the head always has open lanes.
- Hesitate the head, not the tail. Stalling near food while you plan the next turn is safer than charging through narrow gaps.
- Plan two turns ahead. A single move that traps the head one turn later is the most common death.
- When the snake is long, work toward the apple in a U-shape so the tail clears the route as you arrive.
