How to play

Minesweeper is the Windows classic that defined an entire generation of office procrastination. Wuti Zone ships three difficulty tiers (Beginner, Intermediate, Expert), first-click safety, flag mode for mobile, and a millisecond timer for speedrunners.

Rules

  • Reveal every safe cell on the grid without clicking a mine.
  • A number in a cell shows how many mines occupy the 8 adjacent cells.
  • Right-click (or long-press on mobile) to flag a suspected mine.
  • The first click is always safe and opens a guaranteed flood.
  • Win when every non-mine cell is revealed; lose if you reveal a mine.
  • Difficulty: Beginner 9×9 / 10 mines · Intermediate 16×16 / 40 mines · Expert 30×16 / 99 mines.

Strategy tips

  • Start in the center for the largest opening flood.
  • When a numbered cell already touches that many flags, the remaining unrevealed neighbors are safe to chord-open.
  • When the unrevealed neighbor count equals the number minus the flag count, every remaining unrevealed neighbor is a mine.
  • Edge patterns like '1-2-1' and '1-2-2-1' can be solved deterministically without guessing.
  • When forced to guess, prefer the cell with the lowest mine probability and avoid the corners.
